Hypocrisy of Over Regulation

All to often law makers and regulators create rules and regulations using a linear mindset. They claim they understand the issues, even have public hearings to prove it. Yet the people who are able to attend such things are usually lawyers and losers. Losers because anyone in the market place who was winning does not have time to show up, they are too busy producing and participating in their respective industries. So they hire attorneys to show up and talk with regulators. Those attorneys who have no real clients of any value also show up because they know be getting in bed with the regulators and bending over a little, they can get the occasional reach around in the process and a little juice. This can help them get good corporate clients and make big bucks. All these scoundrel, I mean attorneys have to do is promise the regulators jobs when they get sick of the bureaucracy.

I realize this is not news to anyone out there. But we are making many mistakes in our rush to regulate business, as it destroys free enterprise. Lets take the most recent legislation proposed by the FTC, Federal Trade Commission for the franchise rule. So often we are creating rules which are out of wack with the changing and evolving business model of franchising and waiting for complaints of non-performing and renegade franchisees on the FTC online complaint Internet form is not what I would call Law Enforcement experience as they so graciously pointed out in their franchise report recently.

Filing cases, with doctored up declarations made by people coaxed into embellishing complaints due to promised monetary settlements is not law enforcement? That is criminal, it is called lying, it should not be considered law enforcement, it more resembles the mafia, where they take down those who oppose and then use them as an example. Shouldn't we have an internal investigation of these manipulations and what I call fraud within the Federal Trade Commission? Targeting a possible case and then notifying some 70 different agencies of various jurisdictions in the US, Canada and abroad and putting a company on a "watch list" is not law enforcement, that is harassment. Purposely calling, emailing and contacting a company or individuals based on complaints from competitors to entrap is not law enforcement. I think Adam Smith might have a better definition than I, perhaps even Karl Marx might wish to opine.

Filing cases in secret courts and freezing assets of an ongoing company in order to starve a company to win a bad case is not law enforcement, that is a targeting malicious abuse of power. I can prove all this is happening. None of which I would consider Law Enforcement Experience. This must stop now. These are the unintended consequences of unnecessary regulations and abuse of power where corruptions is guaranteed by absolute power of owning a box that industry has been put into by regulators who have never had to make a paycheck or lawmakers who got their by lying through those smiling white capped teeth under a stylish wig.

Why do we let government do that? And why to do we let small departments in large bureaucracies stifle free enterprise and pretend they are doing anything other than helping their future employers as the revolving door swings around and around? The only true evil in our world today is the bureaucracy that runs away? Think on this, I'll get back to you.
